We greatly appreciate all that you do as a team manager. We hope that the information provided below will be helpful.
At the beginning of each soccer year (June) all coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers are required by North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA) to complete a risk management application. A bench card will be generated upon NCYSA approval of the risk management application that must be verified by the club registrar before training or representing the team. Please click here to complete the risk management application.
All managers should review both the Classic Handbook and the D&A Handbook.
It is strongly recommended that each manager create a "Team Notebook" to be carried with you at all times. The following items should be included in the notebook:
- Team Roster and contact information for all players
- Fall/Spring division contacts
- Field Coordinator and Referee Assignor/Weather Hotline contact information
- Team Schedule
- Match Reports
- Copy of your official NCYSA red-stamped roster
- Official NCYSA player passes
- Player medical waiver forms
The following items are needed for Game Day:
Match Report-home games only
Match Roster-use a copy of the red stamped match roster
Player Cards-No Cards=No Play
Suggested items to take on game day: team bench, medical kit, ball pump, extra shin guards, tape, and extra shoe laces.
At the end of the match, please get a copy of the signed match report for your records. All managers need to report the score on the Soccer In College (SIC) website.
Notification to travel must be completed anytime your team intends to play outside the state of North Carolina. This includes tournaments, scrimmages, friendlies, or league play in another state.
